DOES YOUTH-FRIENDLY CENTRE RENOVATION IMPROVE THE PROVISION OF SERVICES

Youth-friendly services are a vital system for further developing youths' wellbeing. The Youth Friendly Services (YFS) program in Kenya is one of a handful of the young agreeable wellbeing administrations intercessions to have been increased. Prior work distinguished the YFS program as a powerful methodology for carrying out a young cordial center program inside a general youthful framework as far as pre-characterized guidelines that included: the sorts of administrations given, the facility climate, and arrangements supporting youths' freedoms. All offices gave family planning, treatment for minor diseases, HIV testing and advising, pregnancy testing, antenatal consideration, wellbeing schooling, and referrals.

Human Resources

The most well-known hindrances to giving health administrations to youths, and to giving YFS explicitly that were accounted for identified with deficiencies of staff who had gotten preparing on the arrangement of youth-accommodating wellbeing administrations and the absence of a devoted space for youngsters at the offices. Mikindani Youth-friendly centre is among one of the most active centres. Sadly management and government intervention has made other services to be dormant in administering services to young people in their locales

Infrastructural issues

The possibility that youths "need their own (devoted) space" at the center is voiced. One of the promises given to these spaces is the establishment of spaces and equipping them so they can offer services. The look of the structure should at least be youthful and welcoming so that it will be easier for the youths to come by while protecting their privacy compared to general health spaces where categorization is hard, especially for young people.

The youths have their own taste and voice and for this particular art project, everything was done by young people as a way to express themselves and create a welcoming environment for the youths coming to seek services in the space. The art project was led by a painter a visual artist Alex Ndeleva Alias Artist Aleksva and powered by Pwani Youth Network.

The YFC champs got their hands dirty by joining the activity and it was rejuvenating to see how happy they were to leave their artistic marks on the walls.

The YFS program can possibly further develop health services for youths, and to further develop their wellbeing results, and has recently been distinguished as an effective model of how to execute an adolescent amicable center program as far as the accomplishment of principles identifying with facility approaches and the facility climate. something typical we heard from staff and youths around the facility  was, "It's so beautiful in here."  While you may not consider young people specialists on neatness and plan, the design and upkeep of an actual space altogether affect general programming, also passion, and mental prosperity.

Rather than "work", we like "responsibility". Over numerous years as an expressions artist, Alex has helped individuals and networks get comfortable with themselves and express their interests through individual and cooperative workmanship projects like art and design.

This used to be called just art. Presently, it is frequently known as friendly practice and art for social change. “I attempt to be extremely insightful and socially and politically mindful of my environmental factors. At whatever point I experience sensations of distress in my life, I want to observe a reply by transforming the community as a whole.

It’s very right to point out that equipping youth centres with youthful packages can be enticing for the youths in the provision of services. Government and key stakeholders should realize that establishing and not fully equipping the centres will leave a gap in fulfilling their objectives as youth are more dynamic. Youths need to be listened to and any interventions should be youthful and fully engaging the youths in policy formulation as

youths know what they want.
