The Mikindani Youth friendly center that was Funded with the support from the European Union to the Germany Foundation for world Population [DSW] will soon be opening its door in Mikindani.
The Youth Friendly center that has been done through the Together for Mother and Children project [T4MC] is looking at helping more young people access health information and services.
"Mikindani has never had a place for young people,we been having challenges in accessing health services and information but now we have a center,Thanks to DSW and the county government of Mombasa"a youth champion said during a youth forum at the center.
The Youth center that will be supporting the work Pwani Youth network has been doing in the ground is expected to be a state of art center that will support the Youth in Mikindani and the area.
The organization is hoping to kick start the program immediately after the official opening of the center
The center will be hosting youth forums,youth dialogue meeting,in reach to offer health services on a monthly basis and also offering counseling to the youths.
Most of our youth will benefit in different ways.Peer educator will be having community meeting and forum,condom distribution program
The Youth advocate would be champion for better law in health to make the health services more friendly to the youths
