Using Sports to make Kongowea a better place

Batistuta and Mainuna Siraj

Kongowea is in Nyali Sub county in Mombasa County,The area is currently a  home to more than 40,000 people.According to the last population data more than 50% of the population are youth.
This growing population of young people has also come with its fair share of challenges like

• Drugs and Substance abuse
• Youth unemployment
• Poverty 
• Low level of education
• Terrorism and Radicalization

With all that challenge of two people are change the area through sports

The two Maimuna Siraj and Batistuta are using sport and mentoring the children from that area to be responsible people in the society

They have a team of more than 100 young star from the informal settlement,When our organization joined hands with them last year in a peace tournament 

Maimuna Siraj who is a  women representative from Kenya youth for change is a believe of youth advocating for peace and development through sports
